World's Largest Cardboard Christmas Tree

The Design Museum's Cardboard Christmas tree models

To celebrate Christmas the Design Museum has commissioned Giles Miller, a former Designer in Residence, to create a unique Christmas tree. The bespoke tree stands at six metres tall and is made entirely out of cardboard. 3, 6000 individually cut and handmade pieces were used to create the contemporary, spiral shape.

Miller is renowned for his cardboard creations. He has previously produced pieces for fashion designer Stella McCartney, upmarket department store Selfridges, and the Ritz Carlton Hotels.

Thought to the tallest tree of its kind in the world, Miller's creation will be displayed in the museum's public atrium over the festive period. The Museum are currently awaiting response from the Guinness Book of World Records to see if they have secured the title of the World's Tallest Cardboard Christmas Tree.
