London-based design studio Rousseau Design has utilised LED lighting and acrylic panels to customise a private wine cellar. The creative design has provided the client with high-visibility while being aesthetically pleasing.
The wine cellar was designed for a private client in Kensington who wanted an imaginative setting for his prized collection of wine. The traditionally dark wine cellar is reinterpreted with bright pink lights behind opal acrylic panels, allowing for the user to showcase the collection and easily select a bottle of wine.
To create this effect, white LEDs sit behind a pink gel that features a heat-activated infra-red sensor. Creative director Ben Rousseau, said: "It it quite a challenging installation as the ceiling height is so low. Bespoke acrylic screens are fitted snug to each arch despite the poor manoeuvrability."
