Clarity of form and the highest standards are the principles of Nya Nordiska. For more than 40 years, the internationally recognised textile editeur, with its base in Dannenberg/Elbe (Lower-Saxony | Germany), has been designing and producing high class decoration and upholstery fabrics for both private and project use.

The recent autumn preview of the Nya Textiles collection 2012 focuses on two essential qualities of the Nya Nordiska design: an artistic desire to experiment and natural aesthetics. As for the colours, we also remain true to ourselves. Subtly differentiated non-colours and Nordic-fresh shades offer the fitting assortment for many styles of furnishings. As usual we have paid special attention to combinability.

Decoration trends are still governed by the desire for authenticity and the pure effect of materials. With Kerala and Lanalino, we included two more, very noble wool-linen weaves in our collection.

The new combinable cotton fabrics for upholstery are called Porto and Panama and have a likeable hand-woven look. For real purists Ubundu represents progressive materiality, being a modern hessian. Charlene CS and Kathrine CS combine the look and feel of a natural fabric with their applicability for contract use.

Colour and narrative power are attributes that can give a very personal character to an interior decoration. Therefore we are used to have room for very special designs in our collection. Kitchen Art, a cotton poplin with casual drafted kitchen utensils, belongs to this design group. As well as Capri, a decoration fabric with the pictorial illustration of a holiday landscape. For both fabrics, there is a corresponding design of stripes in each case, Ralley and Ischia, both of them also performing very well on their own, of course.

With the beginning of 2008, the new line Nya Artline can be found under the umbrella of the company. Artline was one of the internationally leading manufacturers of first class curtain poles, rope winders and tie back objects. The textile editeur thus enlarges its range by new products and now also offers complete decoration for interior furnishings. Recently the curtain pole designs Villa Pura and Villa Meda, which has already won the Interior Innovation Award Cologne 2011, has been nominated for the German Design Award 2012, sponsored by the German Design Council.

The latest member of the Nya Nordiska brand, Nya Walls, extensive wall panels with a textile look and feel, follows the company's design philosophy by combining aesthetic demand and technical innovation. The Tiziano Panel, one of the Nya Walls designs, has already been decorated with five different and international recognised design awards, e. g. the red dot award: product design 2011.
