Just in time for the holidays, Luludi Living Frames announces its new interior design concept of custom-made frames with live plants as a complement to indoor living and working. Luludi, which means flower in Greek, is the central theme of hand-crafted frames that add elegance to residential and commercial spaces.
Bringing nature indoors for abundant feng shui and natural air purifiers were the impetus for the launch of Luludi Living Frames. Inspired by the Living Walls created in Paris these frames add stylishness and design to ones surroundings.
Luludi Living Frames are made of wood and Plexiglas materials and are designed with graceful simplicity and vibrant colors. Frame shapes include versions of round, rectangular and square, and a cubic wall with floating shelves is presented as an open space divider, lush with plants. Drawing upon nature for inspiration, the frames host live plants, flowers or herbs, and in many pieces, include ambient LED lighting. Our newest line includes three dramatic terrariums for home, office or gift.
"All frames with live plants support the elements of Feng Shui that bring peace, harmony and abundance to a room," says the creator of Luludi Living Frames who spent the last 15 years in Paris. "Each one has been named after individuals in my world that have inspired me throughout my life…like my mother, Maria."
Every Luludi Living Frames is crafted and built in Astoria, New York as the company is committed to working with local businesses, artisans and artists. Several artists have been commissioned to hand paint special editions like the Child's Book and the Kabbalah Blessings line. Offering consultations for custom-made living frames for clients to create their bespoke design, past creations include a white boa feather and crystal frame for a client in lower Manhattan. They also work with interior designers, interior landscapers for residences and event planners to decorate venues in order to create enchanting environments inspired by nature. The company uses eco-friendly practices in production and in their collateral materials.
Distinctive pieces, each Luludi Living Frame has a unique metal tag with its own serial number affixed to the back.
Each frame is packaged in a luxuriously soft flannel cover bag with lavender tissue paper and is accompanied by a white tote bag. The frame ships with a live plant and includes a thank you note printed on seed paper that blooms into wildflowers when planted. The company also offers exclusive gift certificates with a unique serial number to protect against loss.
An ideal gift for weddings, housewarming, birthdays… Apartment Therapy has chosen Luludi's 'Alki' Frame as part of their holiday give-away 2011.
The idea for Luludi Living Frames was, in part, inspired by the living wall movement which began in Paris.
The frames are available to purchase on-line at the living frame concept store, www.luludi.net, as well as Etsy at: www.etsy.com/shop/LuludiLivingFrames.
In store, the frames are sold at Dutch Flower Line (148 West 28th street in Manhattan), Jivamukti Yoga School (841 Broadway in Manhattan) and Peter Valcarcel Home at KrisTEES (2401 23rd Avenue in Astoria).
