Antenna Workspaces, by Antenna Design, is a new Knoll office collection, which responds to the freedom and mobility that people seek in today’s workplace, whilst combining artistic invention with functional efficiency.
Designed by Masamichi Udagawa and Sigi Moeslinger, principals of Antenna Design, the collection is influenced by Florence Knoll tables as well as Bauhaus and American Modernism movements and continues Knoll’s tradition of creating not only office furniture but planning systems.
Structurally, the system revolves around a simple mechanism and form, enabling transformation for maximum use and flexibility with a minimum of parts.
Antenna Workspaces considers the growing variety of settings where work takes place, blending desks, tables, storage units and screens in multiple combinations to create intuitive solutions for individuals as well as groups. In the process, Antenna Workspaces suggests connections and boundaries between diverse work areas, simplifying transitions between individual and group work.
Antenna creates work environments that respond to the needs of today’s dynamic workplace, going beyond the traditional boundaries of open plan, private office and collaborative areas.
Its design serves those who view the entire office as a canvas to support a variety of work styles throughout the day, striking a balance between individual and group activities and allowing free and seamless movement between the two.
Focus: Antenna desks link in clusters and combine with screens and storage to define individual work areas. The same desk elements also work in private offices.
Share: Desk and table extensions add a collaborative element to individual spaces for quick sharing of information. The simple desks are the perfect fit in smaller rooms for one-to-onemeetings or private conversations.
Team: Antenna Big Table works as a collaborative workspace in the open plan office and as a tech-savvy meeting room table to support the work done by teams. |
