The BIID AGM

The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) is launching an inaugural, one day conference event entitled “Celebrating British Design”. Taking place ahead of the BIID AGM, the conference will feature an inspiring line-up of headline speakers and experts drawn from across the design spectrum.

“The eyes of the world will be firmly focused on Britain in 2012 thanks to the Olympics, Paralympics and the Golden Jubilee,” says BIID President, Diana Yakeley. “In this celebration year, the BIID believes it is entirely appropriate that we honour this country’s excellence in the field of design. “Celebrating British Design” will provide us with just that platform and recognise the varied and enduring contribution to the spatial designs that we create for our clients in residential, commercial, public and hospitality projects.”

“Celebrating British Design” will take members on a journey of British design, looking at the impact of its success in the world of interiors, and exploring what the future holds. More details on confirmed speakers and topics will be revealed shortly.

Following the conference, the BIID will host its AGM when the work of the Institute during the course of the year is reviewed and outlines plans for the year ahead announced.

The event will take place at RIBA’s London HQ, Portland Place, London, on 21st June 2012. All BIID members are welcome to attend.
