Agricultural Centre opts for Knauf AMF Ceilings
Junction 24 is a brand new Regional Agricultural Business Centre situated in close proximity to junction 24 of the M5 near Bridgwater in Somerset. The multi-functional complex includes space for livestock auctions alongside individual retail outlets, office suites and conference facilities. Over 1200m of Knauf AMF ceiling tiles were installed throughout the offices and conference areas..
Rodney Fitzgerald of Quantock Interiors, who carried out the installation, was full of praise for the ceilings: “We have been very impressed by Knauf AMF ceiling tiles. They offer good performance characteristics with a superior surface finish compared to alternatives. The quality and competitive price structuring of AMF products means we are now specifying them on many projects.”
For the installations at Junction 24, it was essential to provide a minimum of 60 minutes fire protection while presenting a clean, contemporary finish to the ceilings. Knauf AMF’s Thermatex Fine Stratos was specified as it conforms to the required fire rating and the lightly textured, sanded tile gave the desired finish.
All of AMF’s ceiling tiles meet Class 0 and Class 1 for reaction to fire. The Thermatex range is a new generation mineral fibre tile that has been tested and certified for up to 60 minutes fire protection under steel beams and timber joists according to BS476, parts 21-23 without the need for clips. This means reduced installation and maintenance costs compared to other traditional ceiling systems.
